More Information

Nicaragua has earned an international reputation for producing coffees with exceptional sweetness, balanced acidity, and remarkable versatility. The country's volcanic soils, mountainous terrain, and cool high-elevation climate create ideal conditions for slow cherry maturation, resulting in dense beans with excellent cup clarity and refined flavor development.

Much of Nicaragua's coffee is produced by smallholder farmers who work through cooperatives and producer organizations that provide agronomic support, quality improvement programs, sustainability initiatives, and market access. These collaborative efforts have strengthened both coffee quality and the long-term resilience of Nicaragua's coffee-growing communities.

Alongside its cooperative sector, Nicaragua is home to innovative family-owned estates that combine generations of coffee-growing experience with modern sustainability practices. This balance of tradition, environmental stewardship, and continuous quality improvement has established Nicaragua as one of ICT's cornerstone Central American origins, offering everything from dependable regional coffees to highly traceable specialty microlots.
