More Information
Colombia’s geography is one of the reasons it remains such a reliable and versatile origin. With three branches of the Andes running through the country, coffee is grown across a wide range of elevations and microclimates. This allows for multiple harvest periods throughout the year and helps keep Colombian coffee available more consistently than many other origins.
Most Colombian coffee is produced by smallholder farmers cultivating coffee on steep mountain terrain. Strong cooperative networks, careful washed processing, and well-established export infrastructure have helped Colombia build its reputation for clean, balanced cups with sweetness, acidity, and structure that work well across blends, single origins, and certified programs.
