More Information
Bolivia is one of South America's smallest coffee producers, but it has earned a strong reputation within the specialty coffee industry for its focus on quality over quantity. Coffee is primarily grown by smallholder farmers along the eastern slopes of the Andes Mountains, where fertile soils, abundant rainfall, and cool mountain temperatures allow cherries to mature slowly, producing dense beans with refined sweetness, vibrant acidity, and exceptional cup clarity.
Over the past two decades, investments in producer education, quality improvement, and market access have helped elevate Bolivia's position as a respected specialty coffee origin. Although production volumes remain relatively small, careful harvesting, processing, and lot separation allow producers to consistently deliver highly traceable coffees that showcase the unique character of the country's mountainous growing regions.
